I had intended to make “A” stand for “Advent Calendar.” Then I remembered the Apple sticker you get when you buy an Apple device, and I thought it would be great on a scrapbook page.
All I did was cut a transparency to 3×4″ and stuck the Apple sticker in the center:
The facing page is a 6×8 photo of my kids playing on an iPod. I picked out the sequin and button colors that matched the photo. Plus apples are red and golden. (Yes, I think way too much about my pages). The top of the pocket is stitched with invisible thread so the sequins don’t fall out.
This is the only page that will have “___ is for _____.” I thought that having A is for Apple on the first page would let people know that it was going to be an ABC album. I may add journaling and/or an App gift card somewhere later.
The next page is going to be “Baking,” so the apple will fit in nicely with that page. I see that when I flip the page, the apple lands on my son’s eye. Apple of my eye. Ha! Accidentally clever.
Supplies: Letter stickers and some of the sequins are from the Studio Calico December Daily kit. Some sequins/buttons are from American Crafts (Target). White cardstock and transparency are from my stash. And the Apple sticker came with an Apple device.
